Challenge
Following repairs to a clarifier at a manufacturer, access to the internals was required, so a doorway was cut out of the vessel and built up. The manufacturer needed a way to coat the new door and then seal the pitted gasket face so the door could be closed off reliably. Welding was not an option.
Belzona Solution
Belzona 1391 was used to coat the door plate, protecting it against the clarifier's immersion service. Belzona 1121 was then used to bond the plate back on and seal the gasket face — a cold-applied solution with no welding or hot work required.

Result
The door was coated and the gasket face sealed without welding, giving the manufacturer a sealed, protected access door on the clarifier.
