Rumford Industrial Group is the exclusive Belzona distributor for Southwest Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, and Southern Illinois. Our technical consultants work alongside your maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to diagnose equipment failure, weigh repair against replacement, and support the fix on-site — backed by a state-of-the-art training facility in Miamisburg, OH — so uptime, safety, and capital goals stay on track.

The company was founded in 1980 by Jim Rumford, who began his industrial sales career with Eutectic Welding Corporation in 1964 before drawing on his welding and metallurgy background to become the Great Lakes region's first Belzona distributor. Rumford Industrial Group began, as many companies do, in a garage — and has grown into a five-state operation while staying true to the same hands-on, technically-grounded approach Jim started with.

Jim continues to lead the company today, now alongside a growing team that includes a dedicated sales manager and additional technical consultants — allowing Rumford to support more customers across a wider territory without losing the personal, on-site relationship that's defined the business since day one.

1964
Industrial Sales Career Begins — Jim Rumford joins Eutectic Welding Corporation of Flushing, NY, beginning a career that would span more than 50 years.
1980
Rumford Industrial Group Founded — Drawing on his welding expertise, Jim founds the company and becomes the Great Lakes region distributor for Belzona. Operations start from a garage.
1984
First Office/Warehouse — The business moves to a dedicated office and warehouse in Centerville, Ohio, where it would remain for nearly 30 years.
1990
Kentucky Added — Territory expansion with Kentucky joining the primary market area.
1993
Michigan Added — Michigan is incorporated into Rumford's exclusive distribution territory, completing the current five-state coverage.
2013
State-of-the-Art Facility — A new facility opens in Miamisburg, OH — purpose-built for education, training, and supporting technical consultants and business partners.
2014
50 Years in Industrial Sales — Jim celebrates 50 years in industrial sales, having spent more than three decades of it building Rumford Industrial Group.
2025
Almost 50 Years in Business — Rumford Industrial Group marks almost 50 years as a company, now supported by a growing team of technical consultants and a dedicated sales manager serving five states.
