Challenge

Towboat hull required a durable long-lasting protective coating. Full prep performed at a regional shipyard.

Belzona Solution

High-pressure wash at 4,000–5,000 psi, abrasive blast with 12/40 Black Beauty to a 3.5–4.5 mil profile, then Belzona 5811 applied as a beige base with a black topcoat.

Result

25.9 mil DFT average across 201 readings. Temperature, humidity and dew point logged throughout the application (April 2026).
